Relais dei Poderi
History
Relais dei Poderi is part of the Einaudi farm estate so fondly desired by its founder, the second president of the Italian Republic, Luigi Einaudi. Born in Carrù, Einaudi moved to Dogliani in 1888, and at a very young age he began to purchase one by one the 12 properties that compose the estate up to now.
His love for the land and his desire to recover historic property lost by the family led him to start a company, which even now is perfectly organised, and where every farm functions with complete autonomy and is responsible for its own production.
At that time, the lodge was a summer house for the Einaudi family, a place of peace and serenity that even now continues to pass on these sensations to those who have the chance to stay there or simply allow themselves a quick break from everyday life to taste the wines of a well-stocked cellar.
Today, the descendants of Luigi Einaudi hold tradition in high regard by continuing to nurture the love for the Langhe and opening a lodge where guests can feel welcomed like family. |
